My teaching and coaching methods are firmly rooted in mindfulness, self-compassion and self-acceptance. About ME
Since 2020, I’ve been creating mindfulness communities for international professionals here in Copenhagen – from women’s groups to psychology-focused book clubs to corporate workshops. But this work isn’t just professional for me – it’s deeply personal.
Having grown up with the ‘3 Ps’ of our culture (productivity, perfectionism, and patriarchy), I spent years chasing success and approval while hating my body and fighting chronic pain. I’ve lived with migraine sine I was 15, and for decades I saw it as something to overcome, fix, or hide. Combined with my struggles with emotional eating and the relentless pursuit of an “acceptable” body size, I was essentially at war with myself. Eventually, in 2020 I simply burned out, personally and professionally.
The path back to myself led through mindfulness, self-acceptance, and body trust – values I now share with others who are ready to step off the hamster wheel. Mindfulness doesn’t make chronic pain disappear, but it transforms your relationship with it. Instead of fighting my migraines, I learned to work with my body’s signals. Instead of hating my body for not being “perfect”, I developed true appreciation for all it does for me.
What I also discovered through my own dark period – those years of getting up, going to work, coming home, numbing myself with Netflix and mindless eating, then repeating it all again – was that isolation makes everything worse. That’s why community has become such a core part of my teaching. Whether it’s the women’s groups I’ve facilitated, the international book clubs focused on psychology and personal growth, or the corporate workshops where colleagues realize they’re not alone in their struggles, healing happens when we stop trying to figure it out by ourselves.
As a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, I bring my whole story to this work – the messy, the painful, beautifully human parts included. My clients often appreciate my honest sharing about my own struggles with anxiety, perfectionism, and the pressure to ‘have it all figured out.’ Because the truth is, mindfulness isn’t about becoming perfect – it’s about learning to be compassionate with ourselves exactly as we are.
